"Excellent value - simple rooms, spotlessly clean. Cheerful staff, a good breakfast and fabulous location in the centre of Chartres. A favourite overnight stop between Languedoc and the UK. Downsides - finding the hotellerie as the route changes every time we visit but I suppose that will settle eventually. And the bath towels could be a bit bigger."

"2nd visit here. Very convenient for us when driving thru France. Clean, comfy, smallish, quiet rooms which are simply furnished but perfectly adequate and well priced. Nicely located close to the beautiful cathedral and plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby. Chartres is a lovely small town which is pleasant to walk around after a long day's driving."

"The former priory is located just behind the cathedral, so very central, which was perfect for us. The room we booked was simple, but clean. The bathroom was a bit on the small side, but manageable. It would have helped if we had a small table, but again, the location and the fact that we felt very connected to everything, made up for this. Breakfast was more than enough, good quality products. We enjoyed our stay here and hope to..."
